Getting To Know You Game

There's so many great resources for getting to know younger therapy clients, but there are fewer for teens. I downloaded this one and translated it into Spanish, and my teens have loved it!

I love getting to know you cards. The students love to use them and I can avoid an "interview like approach" and make it fun and engaging. I even answer the questions.

I used this game in a small lunch group of fourth grade students. The kids loved the game, and it really helped them open up and connect with each other! I particularly liked that students could pick a card from their hand, so the ones who were comfortable drawing or doing an "act it out" task could do that, and the students who felt more comfortable just answering a question could choose to play those cards instead. I removed the "pass" cards from the deck because I wanted every student to actively participate.

Love these. I used these in the first week of lunch bunch and small group counseling sessions.
