These counseling activities are for counselors, psychologists, and social workers working with students in grades 1-4 that need practice identifying thought errors, how to spot them, and ways to use realistic (Just Right) thinking. The workbook focuses on using a science and lab theme to make the concept more engaging and concrete to students. Students know that scientists use facts and a process to come to conclusions. This makes it simple to explain that Dr. Positive, a scientist, comes to conclusions by using evidence. Any good Just Right Thinking Scientist would make sure she had all the facts so she didn’t come to a wrong conclusion.
